UET60222 is the nationally recognised Advanced Diploma of ESI - Power Systems. It prepares you for work as an electrical engineering technician. It has been the current version on the national register since 2022, when it replaced UET60221. Employers posted about 190 electrical engineering technician jobs in June 2026, down 0.3% on a year earlier.

Enrolment counts people in training, not completions, so the two figures describe the pipeline and the market, not a job guarantee.
The official shortage list rates some of these occupations as in shortage in parts of the country. In the 2025 Occupation Shortage List assessment, Electrical Engineering Technician is rated in shortage in metropolitan areas; Electrical Engineering Draftsperson is rated not in shortage.
Employment in these occupations is projected to grow. Government projections put them at 10,100 workers in May 2025, 10,600 by May 2030 (up 5.7%) and 11,300 by May 2035 (up 11.9%).
