Who It’s For

Why Do This Course

Start a Career in Care

New to care? You don't need a prior qualification to start. You'll learn how to help people with everyday tasks and reach their goals.

Grow in Your Care Role

Already helping people at work or at home? Turn what you do into a nationally recognised Certificate III. Your past work may count toward it, through RPL.

Learn in Class, Then on the Job

You'll train in class for twelve weeks, in person or from home. Then you'll put it to work on a four week placement.

Where The Skills Fit

Where These Skills Could Take You

Care work happens in homes, care homes and the community. The days are easy to imagine: helping someone get ready, eat well and join in.

Care Worker or Care Assistant

Helping people with personal care and daily tasks.

Residential Care Worker

Supporting residents in an aged care home, day and night.

Home Care Assistant

Helping people stay safe and well in their own home.

Aged and Disabled Worker

Supporting older people and people with disability to live their way.

Nurse's Aide

Helping nurses with daily care, under their direction.

Community House Worker

Supporting people who live together in a shared home.

Roles where these skills are useful, not promised outcomes. Every role is different, and some need more study or experience. Police and disability worker screening checks are needed before placement, and often for jobs.
