Whether you lead a team now or want to run a whole unit, this diploma could be it. You'll learn to manage people, run plans and get your point across. It's online, with one video class a week, so it fits beside your job.
If you're a team leader or supervisor and the operations manager jobs are in sight, this is the diploma for that move. You'll learn to run operational plans, manage people's performance and lead with influence.
Maybe you've managed people for a long time with nothing on paper to show for it. RPL is available for some or all units, with an assessor judging your evidence, so the years you've already done can count.
A 3-hour Zoom class each week, then about 15 hours of self-paced study and around 8 hours of assessment. The year runs as 48 weeks of classes with a 4-week break, and extensions come at no extra fee.
Six core units and six electives, covering people, plans, performance and communication.
Three things set this diploma apart: emotional intelligence and influence in the core units, an open door with no Certificate IV needed, and trainers who stay close.
Communicating with influence, developing emotional intelligence and growing critical thinking in others are core units, not extras. That means you'll have practised the parts of management that trip most new managers up before they trip you.
You can start the diploma straight from a team leader role; the Certificate IV is recommended for people just starting out, not required. If you'd rather build up first, the BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management is there.
A live Zoom class with your trainer every week, one-on-one mentoring once a month by Zoom or phone, and replies within 72 hours on business days. The Learner Support Department also calls each month.
