Who It’s For

Why Do This Course

The Money Side

Managing budgets and financial plans, and managing business resources, are units in their own right. Most step-ups fall over there first.

Leading People

Team effectiveness, communication, emotional intelligence and workplace leadership run across four of the twelve units.

No Gate at the Door

The training package sets no entry requirements. A pre-enrolment review checks the course suits where you are now.

Where The Skills Fit

Where These Skills Could Take You

The step from senior staffer to manager is usually about budgets, plans and people. These are the roles a diploma tends to sit behind.

Administrative Manager

Running the administration function and the people in it.

Frontline Manager or Team Leader

The first rung of management, closest to the work.

Office Manager

Budgets, resources and operations across a whole office.

Personal Assistant

Senior support work with real operational responsibility.

Roles where this qualification is useful, not promised outcomes. Employers weigh experience alongside qualifications for management roles.

02
Operational, Not Theoretical

Operational plans, project scope, business resources and workplace policies are the day-to-day of a manager's week.

Good to Know

Common Questions

Do I need experience to start?

The training package sets no entry requirements. Your skills and capabilities are assessed at a pre-enrolment review, with advice given on whether the course suits you. You will need to be at least sixteen and a permanent Australian resident or equivalent.

Is this qualification nationally recognised?

Yes. BSB50120 Diploma of Business is a nationally recognised qualification, delivered here by Foundation Education, RTO 22557.

How long does it take?

Up to twelve months. Submitting one unit every four weeks brings you in inside the year.

What does it cost?

The course page does not list a price. A course advisor gives you the figure. You can pay the full fee upfront by card or bank deposit, or spread it over weeks or fortnights.

How is it assessed?

Some assessments call for tasks in a workplace or simulated environment. You arrange the setting and a suitably qualified person to observe you. A recognition of prior learning process may also be available.

Can I do this while working full time?

That is what the pace is built for. Theory runs online whenever you have the time, and the suggested rhythm is one unit every four weeks rather than fixed class hours.

What do I need to study?

A computer with speakers or headphone points, and high-speed internet. Career Advisors can supply the complete list of equipment, resources and documentation you will need.
