Who It’s For

Why Do This Course

Run the Whole Operation

Supervising a team is one job. Setting the budget, the suppliers and the risk plan is another. This diploma is the second one.

Make Your Years Count

Two years in freight teaches you more than any classroom can. This turns that into a diploma an employer can read in ten seconds.

Study Without Leaving Work

The course runs online at the pace you choose, and the tasks use your own site. Nothing asks you to step away from the job.

Where The Skills Fit

Where These Skills Could Take You

Freight and stock never stop, so the people who plan them stay in demand. The work is easy to picture: setting the roster and the routes, holding suppliers to terms, watching the budget, and answering for the numbers each month.

Logistics Supervisor

Runs the day, the crew and the flow of freight in and out.

Warehouse Manager

Owns the site: stock, staff, safety and the cost of running it.

Operations Planner

Turns demand into a workable plan for trucks, people and space.

Buyer or Inventory Specialist

Decides what to hold, what to order and who to order it from.

Roles where these skills are useful, not promised outcomes. Every role and employer is different, and manager roles usually ask for years in the industry as well.

Why This One

What Makes It Different

What sets this one apart: it is written at management level, it uses your own operation, and the pathways run all the way to a degree.

01
Management-Level Units

Budgets, business risk, operational plans and supplier management sit at the core, so the course matches what a manager is asked to do.

02
Your Site Is the Classroom

Some assessments need third-party evidence from an eligible workplace, which means the work you submit comes from a live operation.

03
Pathways Beyond the Diploma

Graduates can go on to a Graduate Certificate, a Graduate Diploma in Business, or a Bachelor of Business.

Good to Know

Common Questions

Do I need experience first?

About two years in logistics is highly recommended before you start. You also need to be 18 or older and at ACSF Level 3 for English, maths and reading.

What workplace access do I need?

Some assessments need third-party evidence from an eligible workplace: heavy vehicles under the national law, drivers and log books, chain of responsibility procedures, and gear such as forklifts or RFID readers. You also need to apply and monitor those procedures in a supervisory role for at least four weeks. If your job does not fit, you must source a host workplace.

How long does it take?

About 12 months full-time, or 14 to 16 months part-time. The enrolment period runs 24 months, with extension and deferral options.

What does it cost?

Plans start from $57 a week and can be tailored to your budget, with weekly, fortnightly and monthly options. The college is fee-for-service, so FEE-HELP and VET Student Loans do not apply.

Can I study while working full-time?

Yes. The course is online and self-paced with no scheduled classes, and tutorials can be taken in the order that suits your priorities.

How is the course assessed?

Through unit quizzes and workplace-based assessments, with practical tasks judged on evidence from the job. Learning happens on site as you go.

What can I study after this?

Pathways include a Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management, a Graduate Diploma in Business, and a Bachelor of Business.

Is this course nationally recognised?

Yes. TLI50224 Diploma of Logistics is nationally recognised training, awarded by the Australian Government and recognised nationally.

What if I change my mind?

A 30-day cooling-off period applies. Withdraw inside it and you receive a refund, less an administration fee. After that, stopping payments needs evidence of hardship.
