Maybe you handle orders and suppliers, and want the whole job. This course covers supplier relationships, supply chains, ethics and budgets. Online and self-paced, it is built for people in work.
Buying is one slice of procurement. Here you learn strategy, supplier partnerships, contracts and supply chains, so you run the function instead of the orders.
Already in supply or purchasing? You add ethical sourcing, records systems and budget control, backed by proven ways of working.
There are no set classes and no fixed deadlines. Assessments draw on the work in front of you, so study and job overlap.
Anywhere goods move, someone buys them. These skills are wanted in retail, manufacturing, fast-moving consumer goods and car dealerships. The work is easy to picture: choosing suppliers, holding them to the deal, and keeping stock and spend in line.
Roles where these skills are useful, not promised outcomes. Every role is different, and some need more study or experience.
Twelve units across sourcing, contracts, money and systems.
Three things stand out in this course.
Two units cover managing contract performance and finalising contracts. That is the part most buyers never get taught.
Assessments are workplace based. You apply the unit to the job and hand back what you did.
Content is created in partnership with industry leaders and designed with industry experts.
Nationally recognised training awarded by the Australian Government
You finish with BSB50120 Diploma of Business (Procurement), recognised and respected across Australia.
You can move into the Diploma of Logistics or the Diploma of Leadership and Management next.
Assessments are based on workplace evidence, so you finish with proof of what you did.
