Who It’s For

Why Do This Course

Lead Wider, Not Just Harder

You move past running one team. The course covers leadership across a whole business, plus innovation and continuous improvement.

Put A Name On What You Do

Two years leading an operation can get you in. If you hold a BSB diploma already, that works too.

Fit It Around The Job

There are no set classes and no fixed deadlines. You choose the hours and keep the course open for a generous period.

Where The Skills Fit

Where These Skills Could Take You

These skills are wanted in retail, sales, human resources and general business. The work is easy to picture: setting the plan, holding the budget, and keeping a group of teams moving the same way.

Business Manager

Department Manager

Branch Manager

General Manager

Business Development Officer

Roles where these skills are useful, not promised outcomes. Every role is different, and some need more study or experience.

Good to Know

Common Questions

Do I qualify to enrol?

There are two routes in. Hold a diploma or advanced diploma from the BSB training package, or show two years leading in an operation. A CV or job description covers the work route.

What if I do not meet entry yet?

There is a dual course option. It pairs the Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420) with this one, so you finish the diploma first.

How long will it take?

Full-time takes about 18 months. Part-time takes about 18 to 20 months. You get a 24-month enrolment period, plus extension and deferral options.

What does it cost each week?

From $52 a week on a flexible plan. You can pay weekly, fortnightly or monthly. The college caps how much you can pay in advance.

How does study work?

It is online and self-paced with 24/7 access. There are no scheduled classes or tutorials. Much of the learning happens on the job.

Can my past study or work count?

Yes. Credit transfer and recognition of prior learning may give you unit credits. That can fast-track the course.

Is this course accredited?

Yes. It is nationally recognised training awarded by the Australian Government. You finish with BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management.

What if I change my mind?

There is a 30-day cooling-off period. Withdraw inside it and you get a refund, less the administration fee. After that, stopping payments needs evidence of hardship.
