Who It’s For

Why Do This Course

Lead the Business, Not the Task List

This is the level where you set strategy, manage the money, and steer change. It is a different job from running a team.

Put a Qualification on What You Do

If you have held the responsibility for years without the paper, this closes the gap. Your experience may also earn credit toward units.

Study Without Class Times

No scheduled classes, no strict deadlines, and access whenever you get an hour. The enrolment period runs two years.

Where The Skills Fit

Where This Can Take You

This is the qualification behind manager and director titles. The work is easy to picture: setting the plan for the year, holding the budget, and choosing which projects get people.

Business Manager

$100,000 on the college's published average.

General Manager

$118,000 on the college's published average.

Senior Business Manager

Holding strategy, finances and workforce planning together.

Business Director

Setting direction rather than delivering to it.

Roles where these skills are useful, not promised outcomes. Salary figures are the college's published averages, and every role and employer differs.

Common Questions

Do I qualify to enrol?

You need one of two things. A Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the business training package, current or superseded. Or two years of full-time equivalent work in an operational or leadership role. You also need to be 18 or over, with English, reading and numeracy at level 3.

What if I do not meet the entry requirements?

There is a dual package for that. You take the BSB50120 Diploma of Business first, then continue straight into the Advanced Diploma, so the entry requirement is met along the way.

How long does it take?

About 18 months full-time, or 18 to 20 months part-time. The enrolment period runs 24 months, so there is room if life gets busy.

What does it cost?

From $52 a week on a payment plan. Plans run weekly, fortnightly or monthly, and paying upfront costs less.

How is the course assessed?

Through tutorials, unit quizzes, and assessments based on workplace evidence. You apply the units to work you are doing rather than sitting exams.

Can I get credit for what I have already done?

Yes. Credit transfer and recognition of prior learning can count formal study or skills you already hold, which may fast-track the course.

Can I get government funding?

This college is a fee for service provider, so student loan schemes do not apply here. What you get instead is a payment plan shaped to your budget, and no waiting on a funding round.

Is this course nationally recognised?

Yes. BSB60120 Advanced Diploma of Business is nationally recognised training, awarded under the Australian Government framework. From here you can enter the BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management.

What if I change my mind?

There is a 30-day cooling-off period, with a full refund minus a $250 administration fee if you withdraw inside it. After that, stopping payments needs evidence of hardship under the refund and cancellation policy.

How much can I be asked to pay in advance?

The college will never require more than $1,500 in advance, and will never let your advance payment balance rise above that.
