If you love doing makeup, this is a way to make work of it. You cover skin and colour theory, base work, and looks from day through to cut crease. A full kit comes to your door.
No experience is asked for. You begin with tools and skin theory, then build to full looks step by step.
Skin theory, colour theory, colour matching and face shapes come before technique. Get those right and every look sits better.
You work on models, not just on paper. Practical tasks are how the course is marked.
Makeup work splits two ways. Some artists join a salon or counter, others build their own book of clients and go where the work is.
A spot on a team, doing day and evening looks.
Wedding parties, formals and events, often booked months out.
Freelance work you book and run yourself, with the bonus courses behind you.
Roles where these skills are useful, not promised outcomes. This is a college course, not a nationally recognised credential, and some employers ask for one.
Five stages, from the tools in your hand to a finished look.
Three things shape this one: a kit that arrives at your door, tutors six days a week, and two bonus courses on running the work as a business.
A custom case arrives with brushes, palettes, lashes, primer, liner and more. You train on the same tools you will use later.
Two bonus short courses sit alongside the main one, covering business and social media. Useful whether you go solo or join a salon.
Expert tutors are there from day one, and support carries on after you finish.
Issued by the college on completion
Issued by the college when you finish. It is a college award, not a national credential.
The custom case and its contents stay yours after the course ends.
Short courses in business and social media come with the main one.
Ask for the course guide. It takes a minute.
Check the course suits you and sort a payment plan.
Your kit is posted out and your login opens.
Take the five stages at your own speed.
None. The course takes you from beginner through to full looks. You will need to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, over eighteen, with a computer and reliable internet. If you do not have a computer or tablet, the college can supply one.
Eight to twelve weeks at your own speed. You keep access to the material for twelve months.
From $41 per week on a payment plan. You can pay weekly, move to fortnightly or monthly through a payment provider, or pay in full.
A custom case with a twelve-brush set, foundation and concealer palettes, eyeshadow and eyebrow palettes, lip and blush palette, liner, mascara, lashes, sponges and more. It is yours to keep.
Practical assessments, practised on models. Case studies run alongside them.
You finish with a Certificate of Attainment in Professional Makeup Artistry, issued by the college. It is not a nationally recognised credential under the Australian Qualifications Framework. For salon work, bridal work or your own client book, it is the training and the kit that do the job.
Yes. Post-course assistance continues once the course ends, and the bonus business and social media courses stay available to you.
Australian Beauty School is an online beauty college. Courses run self-paced from home, with a kit posted to your door and tutor support six days a week.
