Module 2: Animal Health (Animal Husbandry II) BAG201
To succeed in working with animals you must have a keen interest in animals and the desire to spend many hours working with them. But, think about how much of an advantage you could have if you also have a knowledge of animal health? This is a solid introduction to animal health, where you learn to assess animal health, explain a variety of conditions and identify appropriate treatments or responses to a range of more common complaints or illnesses. Learn to see the signs of ill health and understand the possible causes of decline in the health of animals on a farm or anywhere else.
This course is a beginner-level course and will lay a sound foundation of knowledge and skills that can grow with experience and further study. Animal husbandry is a competitive field, and this course will help you develop and strengthen your skills and knowledge to become more successful in animal husbandry or a similar role and ensure you stand out from the competitors. Learning the basics of animal anatomy and physiology while understanding animal health when caring for different kinds of animals are broad skills that can be useful and implemented in several animal husbandry roles.
