Special Conditions for this Course

Mandatory work placement includes 280 hours of practical work placement with a qualified supervisor (i.e. a person who holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent). Students may need to undertake a Working with Children check to meet individual work placement employer requirements. They will be assisted in organising a work placement location of their choosing.

Entry Requirements

Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold a:  

  • CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or
  • CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

If you have previous experience and skills in education but no formal qualifications you can consider Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and get credit towards this course.

Work Placement

This course also includes 280 hours of work placement, at the choice of the student, with support and assistance provided if needed.
