Byron Bay is a great small town & has a very relaxing beach. Byron is a huge tourist location but does not feel touristy (ie. over crowded). Melbourne Is considered the most cultured city in Australia. Melbourne is very trendy, has a lot to offer for everybody and travelling around is super easy and cheap. The City Circle Tourist Tram & The Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle are both free and give tourists access to really popular attractions like the Melbourne Aquarium to Melbourne Museum. Melbourne also has a thriving restaurant and bar scene.
