So you’ve finally found it…
You’ve found a course that’s piqued your interest.
How do you know that it’s time to jump in and go for it?
As a stay at home mum myself, who also studies at this time (and has helped many mums into study) I’ve learnt that many of our stories are the same.
Many of us have similar reasons for taking action, and sticking with it.
Here’s how to tell if you’re ready to study if you’re a stay at home mum.
1# You’re Tired of the One Income Struggle
If you’re a stay at home mum, you’re most likely living on a single income.
Whether you are with a partner or not, the reality is; you’re probably getting a bit less income than you would like.
If this is frustrating you. Then it’s probably time to get some qualifications.
Skills lead to opportunities. Opportunities lead to less money worries and more quality time with your kids in the long run.
2# You Realise That You’re Going to Have Some Free Time Soon.
Kids seem to grow up so fast.
6 months, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th birthday!
The realisation kicks in. Soon our babies will be in Daycare, Kindy, Prep, or School and we are going to have a few days spare to make the most of.
This is a good sign that you’re already thinking about the future, and you’re preparing for it.
My son happily heads off to Kindy as he knows mummy is going to school too. Leading by example really does start now.
3# You Know That You’re Going to Have to Get Back into The Work Force Again.
You’re going to have time. You’re going to have the opportunity to create yourself (and your family) more income.
You’re going to be back in the workforce again.
But do you feel ready for it?
Do you feel that with your skills and qualifications you are going to be:
- Happy with your job prospects
- Able to compete with other candidates ( who haven’t been out of the work force for a couple of years) who also want the job you are going for?
If the answer is no. Then that’s another strong sign you are ready to do something about study.
4# You Feel Like It’s Time For a Transformation, To Find Yourself Again After Putting Family First For So Long.
Do you ever feel like you’ve been putting everyone else’s needs first for so long, that you’ve forgotten who “you” are?
That you’ve given so much of your time and attention that you’ve kinda lost a piece of yourself; parts of who you were before you were a mum?
As mums, there seems to come a time when we start searching for our “selves” again.
We look for transformation.
We want our pre-baby body back again. We do things like signing up for boot camp, or renting a treadmill for at home.
We want to take back, regrow, transform, and find ourselves again.
Lets face it Motherhood is empowering and now you’re invincible right?
Imagine what you can accomplish now?
If this sounds like you-then a part of you, understands that study can be a great path to start some momentum towards the future you want.Click Here To Find Out More
