quick and easy breakfast for busy people

3 Healthy and Easy Breakfast Ideas for Busy Bees

It’s fair to say that mornings are rarely anyone’s favourite time of day. You wake up and the rush begins to prepare yourself for the day; you zip from task to task, from making your bed to choosing your outfit for the day, and barely have time to think in the process. As a result, it’s unsurprising that for many people, breakfast doesn’t get much of a look in. It’s true that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So instead of skipping it, why not make one that is fast and healthy? Here, we have prepared 3 quick and easy breakfast for a more energised morning!

Option #1 – A green smoothie.

Green smoothies may not be particularly appetising, but they have risen in popularity for one reason and one reason alone: they’re really good for you. You can largely pick and choose the vegetables you want to include in this recipe; kale has seen almost exponential popularity growth, but old favourites such as celery, broccoli, asparagus, cabbage, lettuce, and chard all have their place, too. Add a couple of carrots or berries such as blueberries for a touch of sweetness. Place everything in a juicer or blender, and you’ll have a quick and easy breakfast that’s ready in mere moments.

Option #2 – Fresh and crunchy vegetable sticks, and a dip.

Vegetable sticks are one of the simplest food options out there. You can select the vegetables that are easy to turn into batons: carrots, celery, and cucumber will all serve you well here. You could also explore growing your chosen vegetables yourself with the help of our certificate courses in agriculture; homegrown food is delightful, and you’ll never eat fresher than the produce grown in your own garden!

When your batons of home-grown vegetables are prepared, you can eat them as they are (a perfectly delicious choice in itself) or opt to add a dip. Look for dips that are low in sugar in order to ensure you’re choosing the healthiest possible option. Alternatively, hummus can be a great accompaniment that is still pleasantly convenient.

Option #3 – Egg white omelettes.

Many people worry that egg white omelettes will be tasteless, as they are accustomed to the yolk which provides the majority of its flavor. However, egg white omelettes can be delicious when added with the right herbs and spices. Plus, it’s extremely good for you. Egg whites alone have an excellent protein quotient and are low calorific content; a perfect choice of breakfast to those who want to stay in shape.

If you’re concerned about the time, egg white omelettes are still a quick and easy breakfast suitable for those in a rush each morning. Two to three minutes should be more than sufficient; you can then add health-boosting spices such as turmeric, or organic baby tomatoes for a hint of sweetness – the latter of which can be grown at home too after enrolling on our Organic Farming Certificate course. For an extra kick, consider adding sriracha – its spiciness is the perfect way to start the day!
